After working within for numerous Federal and New South Wales State Ministers, Addison has a wealth of political and policy experience and insight, from development to delivery.
Within her role as Policy and Parliamentary Adviser to the NSW State Minister for Water, Property and Housing the Hon Melinda Pavey MP, Addison worked to assist the Minister in identifying, revitalising and developing social housing in both metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW.
Prior to this, Addison worked as the Program Manager to the Hon Greg Hunt MP, Minister for Health and Senator the Hon Bridget McKenzie. Within these roles, Addison was responsible for liaising with stakeholders, Department officials’ and other Ministerial offices across different jurisdictions, coordinating meeting briefs, events and logistics.
Before becoming a staffer, Addison began her career as a teacher in the ACT within the early childhood setting, where she supported young children and their families through the transition from the preschool environment into primary school.
As part of the Nexus team, Addison leads our Canberra office, mentoring her fellow consultants, analysts and researcher, as they support the breadth of Nexus clients.
Addison holds a Bachelor of Education, majoring in Early Childhood Education and Religion and is working towards a Bachelor of Business and Financial Management with RMIT.
